"Thank You", wild deerhide handbag and cauris
This handbag is made of wild deerhide, it is unique and enterely crafted by my hands in France.
Running through grasses bent by the prairie wind, barefoot upon Mother Earth.
The breeze gently caresses the cheeks, breathes through swirling hair, and dresses and petticoats billow softly.A myriad of tiny insects drift through the air, and the scent of fresh grass rises again at this hour of the day…
The light is tender now, the sun no longer burning the skin.You bend toward the earth, pick a flower, breathe in its wild fragrance, and gently place it on your heart.
Description
The hide is very soft and supple and yet a little thick.
Each side of this bag is sewn by a tie of the very same hide, and its endings ornated with Cauris shells. Green and pale blue glass faceted beads ornate the flap of the bag and its handle.
The handle attached at the back of the bag is made of twisted ties from the same hide.
This bag can be worn on the shoulder or forearm, as in the old days.
This bag is not lined and comes in an ecru cotton pouch with its name, also sewn by my hands.
I invite you to store it in its cotton pouch to preserve it.
